What’s Up?
It’s
almost a new year. I’ve gone through and
deleted most of my old posts. I’m not
sure blogging is for ‘me’. I don’t think
you’re reading here to see a bunch of personal info so I’ve always kept it
fairly glass related. I will continue
with updates when there is something worth adding. Other wise if you wonder what’s up, have a
question, etc, drop me a line. I’m
always glad to hear from you.
Here’s
some pictures of my holiday themed work.

A few have asked for the link
to my other pictures so I’ll post it for now.
The progress is being posted here, mostly for our son who
is away at college to see. As the studio
begins to take shape I’ll post a few more pictures here ~ but that will take a
little big longer. J
Construction started on our
building last week. I have some pictures
up on another page. The one of interest
to my bead friends is this one:
The bench is going to run
from the tall post on the front wall to the corner. J

Here’s what several hundred
dollars buys in the way of imported glass.
30 pounds to be specific, mostly German.
Some Italian.
Wow. Time flies.
I’ve been working on my logo. I’m
trying to learn Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to improve my pictures and the
site. I don’t want to alter the pictures, I just want a realistic
representation of what I’ve made. I’m
coming closer, but still not there.
Spring is inching closer which means ground breaking will start on the
building which will have my new studio.
Maybe as early as next week. When
the studio part is under way, I’ll take pictures and post. Maybe we’ll do something to that eventually
helps someone else in their design process.
Hopefully there won’t be a lot of things to add to my don’t page. J The forecast is
for 40 degrees today. If it is dry I’ll
spend some time at my torch. Pictures
will follow.
I nearly forgot to post this. I’ve found a frit business I just love. I understand she is similar to Val Cox. Glass
Diversions has testers links posted on her website so you see
what you can create. She has wonderful
packaging and fast service. If you go
visit her she has a forum for questions.
If you write her, tell her I sent you. ;)
(I forgot to ask for
permission before posting her on my links page.
I’m hoping it’s ok.) J
Several
of us from ISLAGA have started a general glass discussion
group. Northern
Indiana Glass Artist forum is now another great place to ask
questions about nearly anything glass related.
Feel free to drop in at either forum.
We’d love to hear from you.
Anyone paying close attention, I caught my error from the other
day. The Corina contest did not say she
was coming to the winner, I was just dreaming.
